Tool Basics

Scroll down to see our tool list.  For each tool on our list we have a description and it's uses, as well as, safety tips, and recommended brands.  We do not receive money from any tool manufacturers, therefore, you can assume our reviews and recommendations are non-bias.  This is an affiliate website, but I can assure you no one is influencing anything I tell you.

Do not handle any tool you feel uncomfortable with.  With this website, we hope to educate people on tool safety, before you get them in your hands.  With that said, New tools can be a load of fun, and on top of that open up new opportunities. The opportunities I'm talking about aren't necessarily job related, (of course they could be) but rather for your own projects and home improvement tasks.

Be sure to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).  This can include things like ANSI approved safety goggles or hearing protection.  Always read the instructions and warnings before using any tool or construction material.  This is no joke. You'll learn a lot, mainly what type of PPE you should wear and appropriate uses for your new tool.  Don't use any tool for anything it's not meant to do. Prying something up with a utility knife might seem like a good idea, but it'll break your blade and that blade might end up somewhere you don't like it.

Links leading to external websites (Amazon) are affiliate links. This means I receive a small commission if you purchase anything, after following my link. This comes at no expense to you. If you would like to read more here's our full Disclosure.

PPE

PPE is short for Personal Protective Equipment.  Every tool or material you buy will have a manual, or you can look one up online. Inside the manual it will recommend PPE; you should be wearing this while using your tool or material.  Remember when doing any work you should be wearing closed toe shoes and have hair secured away from your face.
